HYGIENE & SANITATION SOP

To maintain the highest level of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety for customers and staff in all salon outlets.

STAFF PERSONAL HYGIENE

1️⃣ — Uniform & Grooming

1. Staff must wear clean uniform daily.
2. Hair must be neat and properly tied (if long).
3. Nails must be short and clean.
4. No strong perfume or body odour.
5. Closed shoes are mandatory.

2️⃣ — Professional Communication

1. Wash hands before starting work.
2. Wash hands before and after each customer.
3. Use hand sanitizer regularly.
4. Wash hands after handling cash, cleaning, or waste. 

3️⃣ — Health Condition

1. Staff with fever, flu, cough, or contagious illness must inform the Branch Manager immediately.
2. Sick staff are not allowed to serve customers.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT SANITATION

1️⃣ — Tools (After Every Customer)

The following tools must be cleaned and disinfected after each customer:

1. Scissors, Combs, Brushes,  Hair clips, Razors, Rollers.

2️⃣ — Electrical Equipment

1. Wipe hair dryers, straighteners, and curling irons with disinfectant wipes after use.
2. Ensure vents are free from hair residue. personally

3️⃣ — Towels & Capes

1. One towel per customer (no sharing).
2. Used towels must be placed immediately into laundry basket.
3. Wash daily with detergent and disinfectant.
4. Capes must be cleaned or replaced after each use.

4️⃣ — After Each Customer

1. Sweep hair immediately.

2. Wipe chair and mirror.

3. Disinfect workstation surface.

5️⃣ — End of Day Cleaning

1. Mop floor with disinfectant solution.
2. Clean shampoo area and sinks.
3. Disinfect reception counter and POS area.
4. Empty all trash bins.
5. Ensure salon is tidy before closing.

6️⃣ — Washroom Hygiene

1. Clean at least 3 times daily (Morning / Afternoon / Closing).
2. Refill soap, tissue, and hand towels.
3. Ensure no water stains or unpleasant odor.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

1️⃣ — Waste Management

1. Hair waste must be cleared regularly.
2. Chemical waste must be disposed safely.
3. Trash bins must not overflow.

2️⃣ — Chemical Handling

1. Store chemicals in designated cabinet.
2. Keep away from food and drinks.
3. Close lids tightly after use.
4. Follow manufacturer instructions strictly.

3️⃣ — Inspection & Compliance

1. Branch Manager must complete daily hygiene checklist.
2. HQ may conduct random inspection.
3. Non-compliance may result in warning or disciplinary action.
